You need a checkerboard cake set which comes with 3 pans and a divider to bake dis cake . Ingredients:
3 c flour , 4 1/2 tsp baking pwd , 1/2 tsp salt |
8 oz butter |
1 1/4 c buttermilk |
4 eggs and 2 yolks |
2 oz chocolate melted and cooled |
2 oz white chocolate melted and cooled |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl add all the dry ing. 2. Add the butter and 1 C buttermilk until well combined . 3. Now beat until light and fluffy . 4. Whisk 1/4 C buttermilk and eggs with vanilla. 5. Add to the batter . 6. Mix until well combined . Don't overmix. 7. ................................................................................... 8. Preheat oven at 180 deg and grease the 3 pans 9. ............................................................................. 10. Whisk 1 C batter into dark chocolate . 11. Whisk 3 more cups of batter and set aside . 12. ........................................................................... 13. Now , whisk 1 cup of batter white chocolate . 14. Whisk into remaining batter in the mixing bowl . 15. ................................................................................. 16. Using the dividers , pour 2 pans with 2 chocolate rings and remaining with white chocolate ring . 17. And the other pan with 2 white ring and one chocolate ring . 18. Each time slowly remove the divider after pouring the batter half pan full and clean and wipe it before reusing it . 19. .................................................................................. 20. Bake 25 mins and cool completely 21. ............................................................................... 22. Place the 2 chocolate ring cake on top and bottom and the 2 white ring cake in the middle . 23. In between spread chocolate ganache made with 1/2 C simmered heavy cream poured over 6 oz semi sweet chocolate and whisked . 24. ..................................................................................... 25.
