Bitter melon is among the most bitter of all vegetables and it stimulates digestion too . Read more . The original home of the species is not known, other than that it is a native of the tropics. It is widely grown in South and Southeast Asia, China, Africa, and the Caribbean.
Ingredients:
1 small bittermelon , halved , seeds - piths removed and sliced
1 bowl of salt water
1 tsp seasoning pwd
1 egg white , slightly beaten
Directions:
1. Soak the bittermelon in water with 1 tsp of salt for 10 mins .
2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil .
3. Squeeze the melon and add into the pan .
4. Stir fry on high heat until the vegetables looks bright in colour .
5. Stir in the egg white and reamove from fire .
