This burger recipe is one of my favorites. I'm a huge fan of parmesan cheese and the slice of it on my warm burger is to die for!!! I can't make this often because I don't always have fresh parmesan cheese in the house but when I do I usually always make this summer or winter!!!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 kaiser rolls, split
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon mustard
4 slices sweet onions
4 slices tomatoes
4 ounces thinly sliced fresh parmesan cheese
1/2 cup fresh basil leaf
Directions:
1. Heat grill.
2. In medium bowl, combine ground beef, salt and pepper; mix well.
3. Shape mixture into 4 patties, 1/2 inch thick.
4. When ready to grill, place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals.
5. Cook 11 to 13 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, turning once.
6. To toast roll, place cut side down on grill during last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking time.
7. Spread cut side of each roll with mustard mayo mixture.
8. Place patties on bottom halves of rolls.
9. Top each with onion, tomato, cheese and basil.
10. Cover with top halves of rolls.
