BISHOP RAISIN SQUARES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Gee Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
1 cup raisins |
1 cup hot water |
1 cup butter |
1 cup granulated sugar |
2 eggs |
1-3/4 cups flour |
1 tablespoon cocoa |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
12 ounce bag chocolate chips |
1 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. In blender combine raisins and hot water then blend and cool. 2. Cream butter, sugar and eggs. 3. Add flour, cocoa and baking soda alternately with raisin mixture. 4. Mix in bag of chips and nuts then bake in greased pan at 350 for 30 minutes. |
