Easy, one pan gravy mix. Ingredients:
jimmy dean hot and spicey sausage tube |
1 tube buttermilk biscuits |
2 cups 2% milk |
1 stick butter |
cornstarch and cold water |
black pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. In a 2 quart sauce pan fry the sausage and drain grease 2. Start cooking biscuits 3. Add 2 cups of milk to sausage in pan 4. Add stick of butter to pan 5. Slowly bring to boil 6. Mix cornstarch with water until smooth 7. Add cornstarch to sausage mixture slowly until desired thickness is acheived. 8. Season with black pepper 9. Split Biscuits and laddle sausage gravy over biscuits 10. Options: Add chopped onions to sausage while frying. For more heat add crushed red pepper. For no heat use regular breakfast sausage. |
