From the Reata Legendary Texas Cuisine cookbook, the famous Reata restaurant in Fort Worth, TX. The Birthday Cake Cocktail was concocted for Reata's 10th anniversary celebration of Reata Fort Worth in May 2006, and honestly, it tastes just like that grocery store white cake with whipped icing we all had at childhood parties. Here's a little warning - be careful not to toss back too many of these sweet treats, or you might end up wearing nothing more than a party hat. Ingredients:
1 ounce vanilla vodka |
1 ounce frangelico liqueur |
1 ounce pineapple juice |
1 ounce cranberry juice |
ice cube |
sugar, to coat rim of glass |
shaved coconut (to garnish) |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a drink shaker and shake gently twice. 2. Rim a glass with the sugar and add ice cubes. 3. Pour over ice and garnish with shaved coconut. |
