An old Swiss German recipe from my nanna who makes this each summer for us. Its pronounced boo-sher.. Ingredients:
45 g dates |
2 -3 medium apricots |
2 medium peaches |
2 small nectarines |
3 plums |
50 g sultanas |
2 bananas |
2 apples |
2 cups strawberries |
1/2 cup almonds, sliced |
2 dried figs |
45 g coconut |
2 cups oats |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons honey |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Soak oats in milk and set aside to soften. 2. Dice up all the stone fruit and then divide into 2 piles. Squash mash the first pile into a bowl and add the second pile on top. 3. Cut up the dates, bananas and figs into small pieces and add to mix. 4. Add coconut, salt, honey and the softened oats. Mix well until all combined and sprinkle with brown sugar to taste. 5. Best left in the fridge overnight but can be eaten immediatly with cream or yoghurt. |
