I don't even remember how & when I came with this blend of ingredients but lets just say this is the ONLY recipe I ever use for making coleslaw & me being me who is always looking for new ways to make a recipe better has stopped looking for any thing extra. People I serve it to just love it & end up asking for the recipe. This recipe does not require a lot of ingredients & looks (not tastes) like the one served at KFC. White pepper just gives it the right Zing It tastes best the next day so I always make it a night before & always serve it slightly chilled. Note 1/2 small green cabbage or 340 grams pre cut cabbage/coleslaw mix packet will yield 3 1/2 cups grated cabbage. Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups cabbage (grated or chopped in a food processor) |
1 baby carrots (grated) |
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon white pepper powder |
6 tablespoons light mayonnaise |
1 teaspoon vinegar |
Directions:
1. In a bowl mix all of the ingredients well. 2. Chill & enjoy :). |
