Ingredients:
3 lbs ground round |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 onion, chopped |
30 fluid ounces tomato sauce |
12 fluid ounces tomato paste |
1 (15 ounce) can no-salt-added stewed tomatoes |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon oregano |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
3 teaspoons garlic powder |
1 -2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce |
1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce |
2 teaspoons low-sodium worcestershire sauce |
6 ounces beer |
3 (16 ounce) cans pinto beans |
Directions:
1. Brown the ground beef in the olive oil; drain the liquid. 2. Chop the onion and add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, stewed tomatoes, pepper, oregano, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, Tabasco sauce, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. 3. Cover and simmer for 1/2 hour. 4. Add the beer and pinto beans. 5. Simmer for another 1-11/2 hours. 6. Store refrigerated or frozen. |
