I accidently grabbed the wrong recipe one day, but it turned out to be a good mistake. This bread is mosit, flavorful and get's large. The key is letting it sit for 20 minutes before baking Ingredients:
2/3 cup sugar |
1/3 cup soft shortening |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup milk |
1 cup mashed banana |
2 cups sifted flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Mix together sugar, shortenign and eggs. 2. Stir in milk and bananas. 3. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder, soda and salt. 4. Blend in chopped nuts. 5. Pour into well greased 9 x 5 x3 inch pan. 6. Let stand for 20 minutes before baking. 7. Bake at 350 degrees until it tests done (50-60 minutes). |
