This rub goes great with pork shoulder and beef brisket. If using on brisket, omit the sugars. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon ground mustard |
1 tablespoon seafood seasoning, such as old bay |
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder |
1 tablespoon ground white pepper |
1 tablespoon ground black pepper |
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes |
2 tablespoons paprika |
1 tablespoon kosher salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin |
3 tablespoons white sugar |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix together mustard, seafood seasoning, garlic powder, white pepper, black pepper, red pepper flakes, paprika, salt, cumin, white sugar, and brown sugar in a bowl until evenly combined. 2. To use, rub the mixture on up to 5 pounds of meat and refrigerate from 2 to 12 hours before smoking or grilling. |
