4 cups all-purpose flour (maida) |
1 -2 teaspoon baking powder |
salt (depending upon taste) |
1 1/2 cups buttermilk or 1 1/2 cups yoghurt |
vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Pre preparation:. 2. Sieve all purpose flour (maida) with salt and baking soda. 3. Add oil in it and mix it very well. 4. Add buttermilk or yoghurt in it and mix it very well (if necessary add water). Make a smooth dough. 5. Keep it in warm place for 6-8 hours. 6. Method:. 7. Heat oil in fry pan. 8. Make small rolls of dough. 9. Roll it like chappati but it should be thicker than chappati. 10. Repeat the process to make 3-4 bhatura. 11. Put bhatura one by one in heated oil. 12. Deep fry them until they become golden brown in colour. 13. Remove excess of oil by putting them on paper towel. 14. Serve it hot with chole masala and with green chutney. |
