To me, there’s nothing better than the smell of bacon when I wake up in the morning. What a great way to start the day. I wanted to create a bacon recipe that had a little kick to it – just for something different. Read more . Hence, my “Better Bacon” recipe was born. Pair this with a piece of toast and some scrambled eggs and I think you’ve got yourself a great breakfast! Be sure to watch the video to see just how easy this is. Ingredients:
1 lb pre-sliced bacon |
1/2 cup honey |
1 tbsp cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. 2. **When I bake my bacon I like to cook it on the wire sheet that one usually rests a cake on top of (see the video) and place it on top of a cookie sheet. This way the bacon gets extra crispy and is drained of the excess fat. 3. Lay the bacon on the wires in a single layer. Drizzle the honey and dust the bacon with the cayenne. 4. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes or until it is crispy and brown. 5. Once it is to your desired liking, remove from the oven and let rest for 2-4 minutes if you can wait that long. 6. Serve and enjoy! |
