This is the only recipe I can ever remember our family using. What makes a good pumpkin pie is the right combination of spices, and I think this one has it. Also it is very simple to make. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree |
2 tablespoons butter (melted) |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
2 eggs |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients except milk and brown sugar into a blender. 2. Blend until spices are evenly distributed. 3. Add milk and brown sugar then blend until smooth. 4. Pour into pie crust. 5. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 1 hour, or until it sets. |
