Ingredients:
32 ounce(s) baby lima beans (2 bags) |
1 can(s) chicken broth |
ground pepper to taste |
1 teaspoon(s) accent |
1 tablespoon(s) minced garlic |
2 - 3 pound(s) smoked ham pork butt with bone or boneless cut bite-size |
Directions:
1. Clean and soak beans overnight; drain and rinse. Cut ham into pieces and place in a 6 qt dutch oven; cover with beans; add minced garlic, ground pepper, Accent and chicken broth. Add hot water to cover ham and beans by 1 inch; cover and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3 to 4 hours, until beans are tender and soup thickens. Remove meat from hambone before serving. |
