I make about 45 pies every Thanksgiving and I've tried every pie crust I've found. This crust is the easiest to work with and has great taste. It is flakey too! Ingredients:
5 cups flour |
1 tablespoon salt |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 1/4 cups shortening |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
cold water |
Directions:
1. Mix flour, salt and sugar. 2. Cut in cold shortening. 3. Mix the beaten egg and vinegar in a measuring cup; fill to the 1 cup mark with cold water. 4. Mix all together. 5. This will keep in fridge for 1 month. |
