This is the best I could come up with. Excellent flavor .Extra creamy corn. Ingredients:
1 cup corn ( fresh preferably) |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
1 tsp sugar ( more if you like) |
1/2 tsp salt |
cook in pan on medium heat. |
separately cook |
1 tsp butter |
1tsp flour |
to make a roux. do not brown |
Directions:
1. This recipe can be doubled or tripled. 2. Mix together the corn and cream over medium heat. Stir occasionally . Add salt and sugar. 3. Bring to boil then simmer for 5 to 7 min. Depending if you like your corn more done. 4. Make your roux. Get lumps out.Then add your roux of butter and flour to your corn and cream. You can add more roux if you like it thicker. 5. If you like it thinner add a little milk. 6. Add pepper or Parmesan cheese if desired. |
