Best Cream Of Crab Soup

A nice creamy soup that makes for a good fall/winter warmer. Can be eaten as a meal, or served in a mug as an appetizer/warmer.
Ingredients:
1 lb backfin crab meat
1 st butter
1/2 c flour
1/4 ts pepper
1 qt half and half
1 1/2 c chicken broth
1 tb old bay seasoning
1 c milk
Directions:
1. Melt butter and blend in flour. Stir until smooth. Slowly stir in chicken broth. The mixture will visibly thicken and become gravy-like. Add pepper and simmer for 2 minutes. Add half and half and milk slowly. Slowly cook and stir until fully thickened. Add crab meat. Heat and serve.
2. Comment: The original recipe called for 1 Tb parsley. It didn't suit my taste, so I've left it out to make a creamy soup that can be served in either a bowl or mug.
