An untraditional coleslaw that used oil and vinegar as the base for the dressing which isn't overpowering. Top ramen noodles and almonds add extra crunch to this delicious side. Great side for anything, chicken, bbq, etc. Read more ... I especially like it with seafood. Ingredients:
1/2 -1 head cabbage |
3-4 green onions |
2 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds |
1/2 cup slivered almonds |
1 pkg top ramen chicken flavored noodles, broken up |
dressing |
3 tbsp. red wine vinegar |
2 tbsp. sugar |
1 tsp. salt |
1/4 tsp. pepper |
chicken flavor from top ramen |
1/2 cup oil |
Directions:
1. For Dressing: Shake first 5 ingredients together, then add the oil. 2. Shred cabbage and chop green onions, put in a large bowel 3. At least minute, add almonds, sesame seeds, broken noodles and dressing. 4. Toss and serve immediately. Please note that this salad does not keep! |
