You have got to try this!!! I got this from my sister-in-law about 25 years ago when I was married to my first husband. After all these years it is still everyone's favorite. It taste like it has eggs in it but it doesn't. I use Hellmans mayo because I think it has a richer flavor. It's best when prepared the night before and stored in the frig. I'm telling you....after the first bite you are addicted!!!! Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) packages philadelphia cream cheese (softened) |
6 tablespoons mayonnaise (hellmans) |
6 teaspoons yellow mustard |
3 tablespoons instant minced onion (soak in 3 tbls water till absorbed) |
3 (3 ounce) packages chipped beef (i use buddig) |
Directions:
1. Combine first 4 ingredients and mix well until you can't see pieces of the cream cheese and is all one color. Set aside.
2. Shred all of the chipped beef (I use a food processor).
3. Mix half of the shredded beef in with the other ingredients.
4. Put on party tray and top with the remaining shredded beef.
