This is a fool proof, easy recipe with few ingredients that you can customize to your meal, tastes, or pantry. there are so many combinations. herb infused butters, dried fruit, sugars of all types. keep the liquids down to a minimum, chop your ingredients and dont add more than 3 extra ingredients at a time :1/4 c jalapenos, 1/2 c monterey jack, 1/2 tbsp taco seasoning, corona beer. Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar (any kind, granulated is recomended, but syrups work)
12 oz. beer (not hard ciders or malt beverages)
1 stick butter(mix fresh or dried herbs in softened butter or marg. for a twist
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 350
2. add ingredients and combine lightly and quicklyas to not over work batter. it will be slightly sticky.pour into loaf pan and bake till pale blonde. add butter and/or toppings. continue baking till a fine golden brown. let sit till touchably cool, slice, serve, enjoy. also you can take left over pieces and squeeze into balls for easy dumplings for soup.
