A really easy beef stew for the crock pot when you need to cook dinner and do everything else at the same time. Ingredients:
1 pkg -- about a pound beef stew meat |
1 med onion, diced |
2-3 cloves minced garlic |
1 to 1.5 c baby carrots |
1 can green beans (or fresh if you have them) |
2-3 stalks celery, cut into pieces |
1 can cream of mushroom soup & equivalent water |
1 t parsley |
salt and pepper to taste |
1 t red chili flakes (optional) |
Directions:
1. Brown the beef, onions and garilc in a frying pan, till the outter edges of the meat are cooked and brown - but not cooked thru. Add this to a slow cooker, along with all of the other ingredients. Cook on high for a minimum of 4 hours or 6-8 hours on low. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice. Makes great leftovers the next day too! |
