This is my grandma's recipe. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
2 cups sugar |
4 eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 teaspoons lemons |
3 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
5 ripe bananas |
1 cup sour cream |
1 cup pecans or 1 cup chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla, lemon juice and eggs. In another bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. In another bowl mash 4 bananas and chop 1. Combine bananas with sour cream. Add the flour mix to the butter mix. Stir in banana mix and nuts (optional). Pour into 2 greased 9X5 loaf pans. Bake at 350F for about 1 1/2 hours. |
