I made up this recipe a long time ago and I wanted something that was very tasty and this breakfast is very tasty my whole family loves this. Ingredients:
1-2/3 cups water |
2/3 cup sugar |
2 tbsp. light corn syrup |
2 tbsp. cornstarch |
1 (3-oz.) pkg. raspberry flavored gelatin mix |
1 cup frozen blueberries |
1 cup frozen raspberries |
8 fresh waffles |
1 (8-oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed |
Directions:
1. Combine water, sugar, corn syrup and cornstarch in a large saucepan. 2. Cook sugar mixture stirring continually, over medium heat until thickened, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat. 3. Add the gelatin mix to the sugar mixture and stir until gelatin mix is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Cool slightly. 4. Add raspberries and blueberries to the gelatin mixture and mix gently. 5. Place hot waffles on individual serving plates. Spoon berry sauce over waffles. 6. Add whipped topping over waffles with additional sauce on top. 7. Serve immediately. |
