This is what I threw into a container for lunch one day at work. I was running late and truly, neccesity is the mother of invention. I was quite surprised at how much I really loved this salad! I love the basil and strawberry mixture! Ingredients:
2 cups baby spinach leaves |
5 strawberries, hulled and sliced |
6 -8 basil leaves, torn into small pieces |
shredded parmesan cheese |
1/4 cup fat-free italian salad dressing |
Directions:
1. Place spinach in a bowl and then place the strawberries over the spianch. Then sprinkle the basil over the strawberries, then add cheese to your liking. Toss with dressing. 2. If taking for lunch then take the dressing in a separate container. 3. If using for a dinner salad, add some grilled chicken on top! |
