I keep several bananas in the freezer so that I'm always ready to whip up this thick beverage for a quick breakfast or a tasty treat, relates Brenda Strohm, Omaha, Nebraska. Frozen fruit gives it a great consistency...it's like drinking a berry milk shake! Ingredients:
1 cup vanilla yogurt |
1 medium ripe banana, peeled, cut into chunks and frozen |
1/4 cup each frozen unsweetened strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries |
1 cup fat-free milk |
Directions:
1. In a blender, combine all the ingredients; cover and process until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately. Yield: 3 servings. |
