A scrumptious, low fat, low GI smoothie which I found in the October 2005 issue of the Australian magazine 'Delicious' and have adapted. Ingredients:
1/2 cup raspberries (or mixture of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries) or 1/2 cup strawberries (or mixture of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries) or 1/2 cup blueberries (or mixture of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries) |
1 banana, chopped |
1/4 cup sunflower seeds |
1 (375 ml) can evaporated low-fat milk |
2 scoops low-fat frozen yogurt or 2 scoops low-fat ice cream |
Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. 2. Pour the smoothie into 2 tall glasses and serve. |
