Delicious bars your family will love! Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons flour |
2 cups old fashioned oats |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup margarine, melted |
3 1/4 cups thinly sliced apples (, i use granny smith or other tart apple) |
1 (12 ounce) jar jam (your choice) |
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Set oven to 375F degrees. 2. Combine the 2 1/2 cups flour,oats,sugar,baking powder,and cinnamon. 3. Stir in margarine. 4. Set aside 1 1/2 cups for topping. 5. Press remaining into greased 13x9 pan. 6. Bake for 15 minutes. 7. Toss apples with 2 T flour. 8. Stir in the jam. 9. Spread over hot crust, leaving 1/2 inch at edges. 10. Combine nuts with reserved oat mixture. 11. Sprinkle over fruit. 12. Bake 30 minutes more, until light brown. 13. Let cool. |
