Cracked black peppercorns add a pungent undertoneto this sweet fruit sauce. Serve warm or cold over frozen yogurt, cake, or with waffles. Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh orange juice (about 2 oranges) |
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch |
2 cups fresh berries (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, or strawberries) |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine juice and cornstarch in a small saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in berries, sugar, and pepper. Reduce heat, and simmer 8 minutes or until sauce thickens. |
