i can't believe i found a recipe using malaga wine. i guess i won't be pouring it down the drain this year:) Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
2 cups extra heavy malaga wine |
3 cups raspberries |
3 cups blackberries |
Directions:
1. cook sugar in a heavy pot over low heat until melted and golden. 2. continue cooking until darker brown and remove from heat. 3. carefully add malaga wine return to heat and simmer until caramelized sugar is dissolved and mixture reduces to 1 1/2 cup. 4. remove and cool. 5. mix berries and divide between 8 cups, pour syrup over berries, serve. |
