a lovely dessert from vermont wineries Ingredients:
8 cups mixed berries ( blueberries, strawberries, raspberries etc ) |
1/3 cup lt brown sugar |
1/2 cup vermont fruity red wine |
quark, cream fraiche, fromage blac or marscapone cheese as needed from 8 oz container |
garnish: vanilla sugar or turbinado sugar |
fresh mint leaves |
Directions:
1. In a bowl combine fruits and sugar, wine and let stand until sugar dissolves and a syrup forms 2. Divide fruit mixture into 6 glasses 3. add a dollop a of desired dairy product 4. sprinkle with the sugar 5. garnish with mint |
