Also called Sesame Brittle Ingredients:
2 cups toasted sesame seeds |
2 cups granulated sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract |
Directions:
1. Spread the sesame seed evenly on an ungreased cookie sheet. 2. Toast about 15 minutes in a 350 degree F oven until golden brown. 3. In a medium sized saucepan combine sugar, vanilla, and lemon and cook on low heat, stirring constantly until sugar is melted. 4. Rapidly stir in sesame seed until mixed. 5. Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet, spreading very thin. 6. When cooled and hardened, bread into pieces. |
