Yummy dessert that can go in anything, homeade eclaires, eaten plain, put in a pie crust...another thing to eat while celebrating a paegan holiday. Ingredients:
2 cups milk |
1 cup unsprayed marigold petals |
1/4 tsp salt |
3 tbsp salt |
1-2 inch vanilla bean |
3 egg yolks |
1/8 tsp all spice |
1/8 tsp nutmeg |
1/2 tsp rose water |
whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Using a clean mortar and pestle, pound the marigold petals 2. mix salt, sugar, and spices together 3. scald milk with the marigolds and the vanilla bean 4. remove the vanilla bean and add egg yolks and cook on low heat 5. When the mixture coats a spoon add the rose water and cool 6. top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh marigold petals |
