A Black Walnut Cookie
Ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter,softened
1 cup brown sugar,packed
1/2 cup molasses
1-1/2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup black walnuts,chopped
1/2 cup coconut,shredded
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until light.
2. Add molasses to mixture,beat well.
3. Combine flour,soda and 1/8 teaspoon salt.
4. Add to creamed mixture and blend well.
5. Stir in black walnuts and coconut.
6. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets,2 apart.
7. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 12 minutes.
8. Let cool a few minutes before removing from your cookie sheets.
9. Makes about 4 dozen cookies
