fluffy, golden-brown waffles. this is a real Belgian recipe. you can make 12 batches in a standard 6-waffle iron. the average person will eat 4 waffles for breakfast. Ingredients:
8 cups flour |
5 eggs |
3 cups milk |
3 sticks margarine |
4 cups water |
3 oz live yeast |
1 tbsp corn oil |
2 tbsp vanilla sugar |
Directions:
1. heat the milk until it is lukewarm 2. melt the margarine in the lukewarm milk 3. add the water 4. add the flour little by little 5. add the egg yolks one by one 6. dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and add it. 7. add the oil 8. beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff 9. fold the egg whites into mixture 10. let rise until doubled in volume (1-2 hours) 11. bake in waffle iron and enjoy! |
