This is a great appetizer that holds up well for a long period of time on a buffet table. These are also good served over pasta as a main dish. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef |
1/4 cup cornmeal |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
2 tablespoons chopped onions |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
1 egg |
1/2 cup milk |
2 tablespoons green pepper chopped |
2 cups tomato juice |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375. 2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl then blend well. 3. Roll into balls then roll in flour and brown in an ovenproof skillet. 4. Drain off excess grease. 5. Add 1/4 cup flour to 2 cups tomato juice and pour over meatballs. 6. Cover and bake 45 minutes. |
