I had these little sage fritters at a posh garden party in Switzerland, and they were delicious! I'm making them tonight for starters with the first big sage leaves from my balcony, and thought I'd share the recipe! Ingredients:
1 bunch fresh sage leaf |
1 egg |
1 pinch salt |
1 cup milk |
1 cup flour |
Directions:
1. Make a batter with the egg, milk,salt and flour. 2. Dip the sage leaves into the batter, holding on to the stalks. 3. Deepfry quickly, and turn over if neccessary. 4. Serve immediately. |
