Ingredients:
2 pounds beets |
2 cups orange juice |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons grated orange rind |
Directions:
1. Wash and pare beets; cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Place beets in a lightly greased 12- x 8- x 2- inch baking dish. 2. Combine orange juice, butter, sugar, and salt. Pour orange juice mixture over beets. Sprinkle grated orange rind over beets. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until beets are tender. Serve immediately. |
