This versatile BBQ sauce can be used as a marinade or as a glaze. Good tossed with pasta or used as a pizza sauce. Ingredients:
1 onion, chopped |
2 ancho chilies |
5 roma tomatoes, cut into quarters |
5 cloves garlic |
1/2 cup mustard |
1 (4 ounce) can tomato puree |
16 ounces root beer |
16 ounces ale |
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped |
1/2 cup olive oil |
Directions:
1. Preheat a medium sauce pan and olive oil, Add onion, chilies, tomatoes& garlic, char in oil for 3 minutes. 2. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil; Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes until slightly thick. 3. Puree the BBQ sauce in a blender or food processer until smooth, Enjoy. |
