This is a family favorite picked up by my mom years ago. It was in a handout from an Ohio Swiss Colony handout. Enjoy! We love this recipe. (Because they wouldn't let me use envelope as a measurement, I omitted it but the soup mixes are all envelopes of dry soup mix.) Ingredients:
1 celery soup |
1 leek soup mix |
1/2 french onion soup mix |
5 cups water |
1 lb sharp cheddar cheese (cut into cubes) |
6 ounces beer, at room temperature |
Directions:
1. Combine all soups mixes and water and simmer on medium until thick. Slowly add cheese, stir until smooth and add beer. Serve. Leftovers can be frozen and thawed in fridge. |
