This is a delicious and easy quick bread that goes well with just about anything for supper, It has a crunchy top crust and a soft interior. Ingredients:
3 c. self-rising flour (sifted or unsifted) |
1 t. sugar |
1 12-oz bottle or can of beer, room temperature |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Mix flour and sugar. Pour in beer and mix well. Batter will be slightly stiff. Put into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour. Serve warm. 3. Note: Unsifted flour gives a chewier texture. Well-sifted flour gives and more cake-like texture. |
