We learned the recipe for this beer bread served as muffins when we took a family cooking course one afternoon in a restaurant kitchen. Ingredients:
350 g self-rising flour |
330 ml dark beer |
2 teaspoons salt |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/4 cup walnut pieces |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 teaspoons za'atar spice mix |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 150C. 2. Mix flour, beer, salt, sugar and walnuts. 3. Pour batter into muffin tin. 4. Bake for an hour. 5. Serve with olive oil and zaatar for dipping. |
