These waffles are light and delicious. The beer replaces yeast and the honey gives them a nice crunch. My family loves them. Ingredients:
2 cups self-rising flour |
1 (12 fluid ounce) beer |
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted |
1/4 cup milk |
2 eggs, separated |
1 tablespoon honey |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Combine flour, beer, butter, milk, egg yolks, honey, and vanilla in a large bowl; stir until the mixture is smooth. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold egg whites into batter. 2. Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Ladle the batter into waffle iron. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Serve immediately. |
