An easy, tasty beer batter for fried shrimp. Ingredients:
3 c. flour |
1 t. paprika |
1 (12 oz) can of beer |
1/2 t. worcestershire sauce |
1/4 t. tabasco sauce |
2 - 3 lbs. raw shrimp, peeled and deveined |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine 1 cup flour, paprika, beer, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce. Let stand for one hour. 2. Heat deep fryer with 3 inches of oil to 375 degrees. 3. Dip shrimp in remaining 2 cups of flour, then dip in the batter. 4. Fry 1 to 2 minutes, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. |
