This is a light batter. It makes great onion rings. I'm not sure where the recipe came from, but I remember having the onion rings growing up. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 1/2 cups cornstarch |
2 teaspoons oil |
1/4 cup baking powder |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 (12 ounce) can beer or 1 (12 ounce) can water |
worcestershire sauce (add until batter turns brown) |
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients well. Slice onions, dip in batter and fry. |
