If you like you can sprinkle a little cheese on top of the baked casserole, and let it melt. Ingredients:
3 medium sliced potatoes, peeled if you wish |
3 carrots, sliced |
3 celery ribs, sliced |
2 cups fresh green beans |
1 cup chopped onion |
1 lb ground beef (i use lean) |
1 teaspoon thyme |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/4 teaspoons pepper |
4 tomatoes, peeled,seeded,and chopped |
Directions:
1. Layer half the vegetables in 3 qt casserole. 2. Crumble on half the uncooked ground beef. 3. Mix thyme, salt, and pepper. 4. Sprinkle half on top of ground beef. 5. Repeat layers. 6. Top with tomatoes. 7. Cover and bake at 375* for about 1-1/2 hour, until done. |
