Quick meal that kids enjoy. Have a green salad on the side and you're set! Ingredients:
8 ounces wide egg noodles |
1 lb lean ground beef |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1/2 cup fat free sour cream |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon oregano |
3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, divided |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9 x 13 casserole dish; set aside. 2. Cook egg noodles according to package; drain. 3. While noodles boil, cook and crumble lean ground beef and onion in a skillet. Drain off any excess fat and return to skillet. 4. To the cooked drained beef mixture, add the tomato sauce, ff sour cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano and TWO cups of the sharp cheddar; mix well and heat over low heat until cheese begins to melt. 5. Stir in the cooked drained egg noodles; pour all into the 9 x 13 casserole dish. 6. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of sharp cheddar. 7. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. |
