Beefy Cheesy Casserole Supper |

I found this recipe in a home-cookin' comunnity cookbook. It's been a favorite for years. Easy weeknight supper. Ingredients:
4 cups uncooked egg noodles |
1 lb ground beef |
3/4 cup chopped onion |
16 ounces tomato sauce |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
8 ounces cream cheese, softened |
1 cup cottage cheese |
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese |
1/3 cup sliced green onion |
1/4 cup chopped green pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook noodles according to pkg. 2. Meanwhile, cook beef and onion, drain. 3. Add tomato sauce, garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt and pepper. 4. In bowl, mix cream cheese, cottage cheese, parmesan, onion and pepper. 5. Drain noodles. 6. Put half the noodles in a sprayed 13x9 baking pan. 7. Top with half the meat and half the cheese mix. 8. Repeat layers. 9. Cover and bake at 350* for 35 minutes. |
