Beefy Broccoli And Cheese Soup |

This is a creamy, filling, delicious soup. Ingredients:
2 c chicken broth |
1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed |
1/4 c chopped onion |
1/4 pound ground beef |
1 c milk |
2 t flour |
4 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
1 1/2 t chopped fresh oregano or 1/2 t dried oregano |
salt & freshly gound black pepper |
hot pepper sauce |
Directions:
1. Bring broth to a boil in a medium saucepan. 2. Add broccoli and onion; cook 5 minutes or until broccoli is tender. 3. Meanwhile, brown ground beef in small skillet; drain. 4. Gradually add milk to flour, mixing until well blended. 5. Add milk mixture and ground beef to broth mixture; cook, stirring contsantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly. 6. Add cheese and oregano; stir until cheese is melted. Season with salt, pepper, and hot pepper sauce taste. |
