Ingredients:
1 pound ground round |
1 1/2 cups chopped onion (about 1 large) |
1 cup chopped green bell pepper (about 1 medium) |
1 garlic clove, minced |
2 (16-ounce) cans navy beans, drained |
1 (15 1/4-ounce) can lima beans, drained |
2 (14 1/2-ounce) cans no-salt-added diced tomatoes, undrained |
1 cup barbecue sauce |
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
2 tablespoons salt-free barbecue spice (such as the spice hunter) |
Directions:
1. Cook ground round in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned, stirring until it crumbles. Drain and pat dry with paper towels. 2. Combine cooked beef and remaining 9 ingredients in a 4 1/2-quart electric slow cooker. Cover and cook on high heat setting 1 hour. Reduce heat to low setting, and cook 6 to 7 hours. |
